Just add the linearize command line switch and your output will be linearized

In the latest version there is no use for the PDF Toolkit. You should remove the pdftk.exe and try again.

It was just below the header. I admit it was a bit to cryptic and now it is changed. Then new build 9.5.0.1579 is more transparent with regards to the toolbar offer.

You have to select "custom install" to opt out. I see this is not clear enough and the sponsored download now links to the download without the sponsor until I have a better solution. I will try to fix this issue.

You can change the behavior where the conversion is running in parallel. Find a good value for GUITimeout and set it in the registry as described at the link here:

Stupid questions I have to ask:

1) Are you on the latest version of the program?
2) What type of document are you trying to extract text from? I assume it is PDF.
3) Also, did you try to uninstall and reinstall the PDF IFilter?
