Settings dialog tries to access to Internet each time

Pdf printer is an excellent program, but there is one thing confusing me:
Each time I start to print from an application and the settings dialog appears, it appearently tries to access to the internet (the network connection dialog pops up).
Why that? for statistical information?
Can this be diasabled?
We want to use it in our company, but this pop-up will irritate the users.
