Erro 76: Error in function call MkDirRecurse / Path not foun

Greetings, we are testing PDF writer, latest version 9.0.2.144(?) for one user.

Yesterday, I installed the program (Setup_BullzipPDFPrinter_9_2_0_1499 for GPO.msi) and it worked fine for the user.

Today, when user runs the program, and while printing to a mapped drive, she gets an error:

Error 76: Error in function call MkDirRecurse{Q:\Shares\BullzipTest"
Create folder 'Q:\Shares\'. 76: Path not found

Surce: GUI

Internal hint: Copy output to destination

Any suggestions? Thank you.

In the meantime, I'll try uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling using Setup_BullzipPDFPrinter_9_2_0_1499.EXE (instead of MSI). Not sure if isnatlling with EXE is different than MSI but will try.

Hi,

There are two things I would like you to try.

1) Try to create the path manually Q:\Shares\BullzipTest. Do you have the permissions needed to do so?
2) After the error comes up you should run the Bug Radar from the bullzip folder in the start menu. Let me know when you have done that. It will collect and send error information to us.

Note: before reading Jacob's post today, yesterday I went ahead and unstalled the MSI, ran CCleaner, and then reinstalled with the latest EXE version. Guessing it shouldn't make a difference but reinstalled anyway. Awaitng user's test... will post back results.

1) Yes, the user has permission to manually create.

2) If user still reports a problem, I'll send you the Bug Radar report.

To be clear, the H:\BILLS\_BulzipPDF folder is already there and the user was able to create PDFWriter jobs to that directory the first day I installed the software. It was actually the NEXT day that she tried to use PDFWriter again that she encountered Error 76.

I’ve reinistalled the .exe and am waiting for the user to try PDFWriter again. Keep you posted…

Can you create that folder on the H: drive manually? Could it be a permission problem?

After reinstalling Bullzip using the .exe, instead of the .msi, the user is still reporting the problem Additional thoughts?
