prints coming out portrait and not showing landscape

Hello,
The reports are getting sent from a unix machine to windows and on a normal printer they are printing landscape.
when i use the PDF printer it prints out portrait. I've tried changing the default to landscape on the printer but it didn't work.
Any ideas?
