test.doc becomes Microsoft Word - test.pdf

Post by bsod »

How do I retain the original name of the file without adding Microsoft (X) before the beginning of each converted file?. I have checked in the macros and haven't found the answer. Thoughts?

Hi,

If you have downloaded the last version, 6.0.0.766, you may use <smarttitle>.pdf which removes the apllication's name frome the file name as described in the version history. I think this macro is set as default when you reset the parameters in bullzip options.

Regards.

[Previous reply apparently lost, so here I am again.]

I just downloaded ver 6.0.865, and I'm lovin' it. But I am experiencing the same problem as the OP, when printing a PowerPoint file.
If I use the <basedocname> macro, the chosen filename comes back as
Microsoft Powerpoint - test.pdf
If I use the <smarttitle> macro, the chosen filename comes back as
test.ppt.pdf

Can I somehow concatenate the two macros, and lose both the application program name and its extension?

Thanks

Bill
