Error 429: Error creating object: BioPdf.PdfWriter.Xmp

Post by gamefanatic »

Hello,
I just re-installed my Windows 7 computer and the latest version of BullZip PDF writer. Everytime I try to print I get the following error and get nothing to print:

An error occurred.
Error 429: Error creating object: BioPdf.PdfWriter.Xmp
Patch XMP structure

I was running Windows 7 32bit, and formatted the computer to install Windows 7 64 bit. My profile / settings were migrated through roaming profiles so all the previous settings were the same.

Hi,

One of our new machines has the exact same problem with the version 7.1.0.1080. However, this version seems fine if installed on a PC which has a previous BullZip installation. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Rob,

Do you also use a 64 bit Windows 7?

Just speculating as to the issue. Since it seems it can't create an object, I would think that would be caused by something not registering correctly. Though it could also be caused by the program is installed in C:\Program Files on my 32bit OS and C:\Program Files (x86) on the 64bit. Unfortunately I don't have a 32bit loaded as of yet to test. I might attempt this on a 32bit vista sometime this weekend if I have a moment.

The problem was in the registration of the assembly. It is a COM object written in C#. It registered fine for 64 bit programs on a 64 bit platform. However, the printer GUI is a 32 bit app and could not create the object. I have just released a new version that should fix this problem. Please try the new version and get back with your results.

Well I uninstalled the previous version and installed 7_1_0_108. Everything is working again. Only concern I might have (and hopefully it's just me) is that all my previous settings were removed from the Uninstall. It's possible deleting the old settings may have had some affect as well?

Anyway thank you for the great work!

Windows 7 error 429 appears when the user tries to open ActiveX dependent web pages. It may also occur when a user tries to load an application.
Runtime error 429: “ActiveX component can’t create object”
Reinstall Windows Script
Repair Windows Script File Information in Registry
Reregister Concerning File
Reset Internet Explorer Settings
Restore your Computer
Repair System Files
i also faced this problem many times but i fixed it, i also got some help from this article http://www.error429.com , hope someone might get help from this article.
