The arguments are invalid

Post by Pleiger »

Hallo,

I want to install Bullzip on a "Windows XP embedded" system. When the installation program reaches "Installing driver ..." I get the message "The arguments are invalid" and there is no printer installed. What does this message mean? How can I solve the problem?

Some information:
- I installed other pdf printers successfully. Unfortunately the need user's intervention.
- The PC is extremely slow 700MHz Celeron 256MB RAM

Maybe you system is missing the driver database. Can you see a list of printer brands and models if you try to install a printer manually?

I had similar problem - error message "arguments are invalid" when installation got up to installing a printer. Was able to install another pdf printer prev but wanted to use Bullzip as had used it on other computers and preferred it.

Found solution http://www.bullzip.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4905
It had link to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=324757 and chose the fix it for me
Ran the fix it thing (did not select option reset print spooler to default)
Then ran Bullzip installation again and no probs

Thanks
